[su_heading size=”28″]What’s it take to get started with SimplServe?[/su_heading]
Getting started with SimplServe is, like all things SimplServe, easy.
First things first:
- All you need is an email address and the Google Chrome web browser
- There’s nothing to install
- Nothing to backup
- Software updates just happen automatically
- Login from anywhere
Once you signup and choose a password, SimplServe leads you through gathering some initial info to get you started. Easy!
Step 1: Let’s enter info for your office, so we can make nice looking affidavits, invoices and field sheets (tap/click to see larger):
Looks easy, right? That’s because it is.
I designed SimplServe with one over-riding principle – I hate complicated software!
Step 2: We need someone to serve our papers. We call this an agent, and to get started we are going to enter the info for one of them.
If you are a one-person shop, you’ll enter your info here, because you are both the office owner AND the server:
That’s a good start: getting an agent in the system. You can always add more later, or if you are a one-person shop, you’re done.
Step 3: Somebody’s giving us these papers to serve. Before entering a paper, the client for that paper needs to be in the system, so let’s add one now:
Pretty painless to get an agent and a client in the system. Adding more later is just as easy, of course.
Now we are ready to input a paper – this is the last step of getting started.
Either put in a real paper you are planning to serve, or just use some garbage data to give it a try.
Check out this video to see the final step in the getting started process (40 seconds to put on a 1-defendant paper):
And that’s it, you are ready to roll!
And that’s what I like to call… SimpL !
